Rath Yatra 2023: Pahandi Ritual Of Lords Begins In Puri

Puri: The Pahandi rituals of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra for the rath yatra began on Tuesday.

The Padhandi ritual of Triad began after the consecration of the chariots – Nandighosha for Lord Jagannatha and Madan Mohan, Debadalana Ratha for Devi Subhadra and Shri Chakraraj Sudarshan and Taladhwaja for Balabhadra Prabhu and Ramakrishna.

According to ‘Dhadi Pahandi’ tradition, Shri Chakraraj Sudarshan is taken to the chariot first, followed by Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Lord Jagannatha
