Start Up Policy To Be Introduced For Plus III & PG Students Of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: According to Ashoka Kumar Das, deputy chairman of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha would soon implement a start-up strategy for plus III and post-graduate (PG) students.

Tuesday’s exploratory meeting in this respect was presided over by Rohit Pujari, minister of higher education. The meeting also included a group from Frost & Sullivan as well as Omkar Rai, the executive chairman of Startup Odisha.

The startup will examine how the students may turn their concept into a commercial enterprise. The State Higher Education department will present the projects of plus III and PG students to businesses.

“Even if our Center of Excellence is doing well according to the World Bank, but it is only up to a certain level,” Das remarked.

The state government will fund a detailed study on how to integrate the local and international commercial databases.

It is important to note that Startup Odisha is a project of the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department that seeks to support and recognise the inventions and ideas of aspiring businesspeople in the state.
