Youth Beaten to Death Over Unsettled Debt in Odisha’s Boudh

Boudh: In a tragic incident late last night, a youth, identified as Satya Narayan Swain was allegedly beaten to death by two brothers, Nimain Thati and Duryodhan, in Sampoch village in Boudh. The motive behind the gruesome act was reportedly a demand by Satya Narayan for the repayment of money he had lent to the accused duo.

The victim, a resident of Sampoch village, had lent money to Nimain and Duryodhan in a time of urgent need. The accused, who were in an inebriated state, encountered Satya Narayan on their way back to the village. When asked to return the borrowed amount, an altercation ensued, escalating into a fatal confrontation.

In a fit of rage, Nimain and Duryodhan attacked Satya Narayan with a baton, resulting in his untimely death. The accused siblings quickly fled the scene and are currently on the run.

Upon receiving information, the Boudh police promptly arrived at the location, seized the victim’s body, and initiated an investigation. A case has been registered in connection with the incident, and the probe is currently underway.

The body of the deceased has been sent to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Boudh town for post-mortem examination. Police are actively working to apprehend the absconding suspects.
