Jadeja Ruled Out Of Bangladesh ODIs

Mumbai: Seasoned Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is set to miss the white-ball series against Bangladesh scheduled to be played this December. Further, left-arm fast bowler Yash Dayal who had received his maiden India call-up has also been ruled out of the Bong series owing to a lower back problem. The All-India Senior Selection Committee named fast bowler Kuldeep Sen and all-arounder Shahbaz Ahmed as Dayal and Jadeja’s replacements for the 3-match One Day International (ODI) series against the Bangla Tigers.

According to reports, Jadeja is still having issues with his knee and has failed to fully recover from the same. He will continue to be monitored by the BCCI Medical Team. Veteran all-rounder Jadeja’s knee ailment prevented him from competing in the T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022.

Kuldeep and Shahbaz were already part of the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The opening match of the bilateral series is set to be played on November 25 in Auckland.

The BCCI in a media release informed that “they will now be a part of the squad travelling to Bangladesh. No replacements have been named for the ODI squad currently in New Zealand”.
