Jadeja “Very Likely” to Continue With CSK After Dhoni’s Mediation

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had a forgettable IPL season last year, both on the field and off the field. They finished 9th on the points table.

Ravindra Jadeja, the star all-rounder and former CSK skipper is now “very likely” to remain with the IPL team despite speculations that he may leave owing to a fallout. There has been a lot of conjecture around Jadeja and his departure from the CSK franchise in the run-up to the upcoming IPL mini-auction, which is tentatively set to take place in December.

According to several accounts, Jadeja was dissatisfied with how his captaincy was handled the previous season and how the team’s transition was managed when they failed under his leadership. Additionally, the star all-rounder deleted all of his CSK-related social media posts earlier this year, making it plain that he was not pleased with the team.

Following that, rumours surfaced that the team would think about exchanging him for Axar Patel before the new season with Delhi Capitals. In addition, although several other teams have expressed interest, MS Dhoni has been arranging for Jadeja to remain with the team.

A player of Jadeja’s calibre cannot be allowed to join a rival team, as Dhoni has made it clear to the management. Even though Jadeja and the management haven’t spoken in a while, there is a good chance that Jadeja will remain with the team for the IPL 2023 season given his ten-year history with the team and camaraderie with MS Dhoni.
