Twitter To Enable Organisations ‘Identify’ Associated Accounts: Elon Musk

San Fransisco: Elon Musk, the Twitter chief, announced on Sunday that the social media platform would soon make it possible for businesses to identify the accounts connected to them as Twitter looks for measures to curtail fake accounts on the platform.

“Rolling out soon,” Musk in a tweet on Sunday said. “Twitter will enable organizations to identify which other Twitter accounts are actually associated with them.”

Due to the proliferation of bogus identities, the social media site suspended its recently launched $8 blue check subscription service on Friday. However, some users were able to reclaim their “official” badge thanks to new owner Elon Musk.

Since the recent roll-out, fake accounts posing as well-known companies have appeared with the blue check, including Musk’s Tesla and SpaceX, as well as Roblox, Nestle, and Lockheed Martin.

Musk asserted that Twitter Blue would “come back end of next week” in a tweet yesterday.
