Rahul Gandhi to Visit Salepur & Rayagada, Priyanka to Campaign in Nabarangpur

Bhubaneswar: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is expected to visit Salepur in Cuttack district on April 28 to campaign for the party for the forthcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha.

According to the state Congress in-charge Ajoy Kumar, the Odisha unit of the party has requested Rahul Gandhi to campaign in Salepur, Rayagada, and Berhampur. The party has suggested April 28 and May 3 as the prospective dates. Ajoy Kumar said, he was hopeful of getting a confirmation by Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

Ajoy Kumar also said that they have requested the party president Mallikarjun Kharge to campaign in Balangir and general secretary Priyanka Gandhi in Nabarangpur.

While Priyanka is expected to visit Odisha on May 6, Kharge is likely to campaign for the party on May 7.

Earlier, Saptagiri Ulaka, the Congress’ MP candidate from Koraput, told the media that Rahul Gandhi may visit Rayagada on May 3 and address a mega rally. Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy may also campaign in the south Odisha districts on May 8 to woo the Telugu voters.
