Toxic Gas Leak at Prawn Processing Unit in Balasore Dist, At Least 10 Workers Fall Sick

Balasore: At least 10 workers became sick, some of them in serious condition, when toxic gas leaked at a prawn processing unit at Gadimala near Nilagiri in Balasore district on Thursday evening.

The ailing workers included some minor girls. According to reports, they were admitted to the Nilagiri Community Health Centre.

The reason behind the gas leak had not been ascertained. Police and fire services personnel rushed to the factory named to initiate sanitization of the complex and investigation.
