‘Scooby-Doo’ Live Action Series on the Anvil

‘Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you?’, this popular song will again be chanted by the fans as ‘Scooby-Doo’ is returning back to the screens as a potential live-action series.

According to a report in the Variety, Netflix is planning to launch ‘Scooby-Doo! The Live-Action Series’ with writers Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg.

Exact plot details have not been revealed. But the series will be based on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon. Warner Bros Television will produce the series for Netflix.

The Scooby-Doo franchise was launched in 1969 as an animation series.

A live action ‘Scooby-Doo’ movie was released in 2002 starring Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini with Neil Fanning voicing Scooby. It was followed by a sequel with the same cast, ‘Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed’, in 2004. Live-action TV film ‘Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins’ and its sequel were released in 2009 and 2010.
