Commissionerate Police Launches ‘Team HER’ to Ensure Women’s Safety in Odisha’s Twin Cities

Bhubaneswar: In a major step to bolster women’s safety in public spaces, the Commissionerate Police has formed a special unit – Team HER (High Efficiency Response). This dedicated team will focus on tackling all forms of harassment faced by women, particularly those working late and returning home at night.

Headed by ACP Anjana Tudu, Team HER operates round the clock to ensure swift action against miscreants who threaten women’s safety. The team has already demonstrably proven its effectiveness by registering six cases and initiating appropriate legal measures against the accused.

Team HER is committed to providing immediate assistance to women in distress. Women experiencing misconduct, harassment, or eve-teasing can reach out to the team 24/7 by dialling 6372500400 or the national emergency number 112. Importantly, the team prioritizes confidentiality, and the identity of the caller will not be disclosed.
