Carcass Of Elephant Found In Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal:  The carcass of an elephant was found on the premises of a farmhouse in Borapada Khamar village under the Dhenkanal Sadar range.

The age of the deceased elephant is said to be 15 years.

According to reports, the matter came to the fore after some locals spotted the carcass and informed the forest officials about the same.

On being informed, DFO and other forest officials reached the spot and started an investigation. The officials recovered the carcass of the jumbo and sent it for post-mortem.

Though the exact reason behind the jumbo is yet to be ascertained, the elephant is assumed to have died after being electrocuted.
