Contractor Shot Dead By Miscreants In Khordha

Khordha: A contractor was shot dead by some unidentified miscreants at Chandeswar Chowk in Tangi area of Khordha district.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Rout, a resident of Radhamohanpur. He had a construction company in Bangalore and was a contractor.

According to reports, the incident took place while Ramesh was returning home along with his two friends on a bike when two miscreants intercepted them and opened fire on him at National Highway no. 16. Subsequently, Ramesh sustained bullet injuries.

The locals rushed him to the Tangi Medical Center where the doctors declared Ramesh brought dead.

On being informed, police reached the spot and started to probe into the matter. However, the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
