Teacher Forces Girl Student to Have Relations With Him, Arrested in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A teacher of a private school in Bhubaneswar alleged to be harassing a girl student to have a relationship with him was arrested by the personnel of the Bharatpur police station on Thursday.

The accused was identified as Kalucharan Badajena. The victim had filed a complaint against him with the police.

According to sources, the erring teacher was seeking ‘favours’ from the girl in exchange of providing her question papers for class tests. He also threatened to fail her in the examination, he she did not agree to his advances.

The student alleged that the teacher was forcing her to visit parks with him and was also writing lewd remarks about her on the classroom bench. The girl was facing this ordeal for about a month. Recently she informed her parents about it and they lodged a written complaint with the police.
