Mumbai Cops Rescue Man Following Interpol’s Suicidal Search Alert

Mumbai: Mumbai police successfully rescued a 28-year-old man from taking his own life after receiving an alert from Interpol. The man, originally from Rajasthan, was rescued in suburban Malvani after Interpol shared his mobile phone number with the Mumbai police.

The man had been grappling with severe stress and depression due to his inability to secure his mother’s release from a Mumbai jail. He had also been unemployed for the past six months.

Interpol’s vigilant officials noticed the man’s online searches for methods of suicide and promptly contacted the Mumbai police.

Responding swiftly, the police took the man into custody and provided professional counselling to address his emotional turmoil. He was then advised to stay with relatives in the city.
