West Bengal Tourist Found Dead in Balasore Hotel Under Mysterious Circumstances

Balasore: A tourist from West Bengal was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a hotel in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday.

The deceased, identified as Vivek Nag, had checked into a hotel in Chandaneswar, located in Balasore district’s Bhogarai block, on Wednesday. On Friday morning, when hotel staff attempted to clean his room, their repeated knocks and calls went unanswered. Concerned, they reported the situation to the hotel owner, suspecting that something might be amiss.

The hotel management promptly informed the local police, who broke open the door of Mr. Nag’s room and found him hanging from the ceiling fan. The police sent the body for a post-mortem examination and informed Mr. Nag’s family.

An investigation into the incident has been initiated, with the authorities registering a case of unnatural death as they seek to determine the circumstances surrounding this apparent suicide.
