37th National Games: Odisha Gymnast Pranati Nayak Clinches 4th Gold

Bhubaneswar: In a dominant display of athleticism, Pranati Nayak, a 28-year-old West Bengal-born gymnast representing Odisha, bagged her fourth gold medal at the 37th National Games in Goa on Saturday. Her latest victory came in the Women’s Beam event, where she scored 11.733 points to finish ahead of Pranati Das of West Bengal and Mallika Kulshreshtha of Delhi.

Nayak had already won gold medals in the All-Round, Vault, and Uneven Bars events earlier in the Games, highlighting her versatility and dominance across various gymnastics disciplines. Her fourth gold medal haul makes her one of the most successful gymnasts at the current National Games.

Odisha’s success in gymnastics was further cemented by Tapan Mohanty, who secured his second silver medal in two days by finishing second in the MAG Parallel Bars event. Mohanty’s silver medal adds to Odisha’s impressive medal tally in gymnastics at the National Games.
