Imphal: In a significant development, the United National Liberation Front (UNLF), an extremist group entrenched in Manipur, inked a historic peace agreement with the Indian government on Wednesday, pledging to abandon violence. The UNLF, recognized as the oldest armed group in Manipur’s Imphal valley, has now committed to forgo its militant activities and embrace mainstream participation.
