2 Minor Girls Meet Watery Grave in Balimela Reservoir in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: In a distressing event, two young girls lost their lives, reportedly due to drowning in Balimela Reservoir in Odisha’s Malkangiri district. The incident occurred at Kenduguda village under Korukonda block.

According to the locals, four minor girls from the village had ventured to Balimela Reservoir for a bath on Thursday afternoon. Sadly, during their bathing session, two of them disappeared beneath the deep waters.

Prompted by the alarming situation, villagers immediately initiated a search operation in the reservoir yesterday. Tragically, the bodies of the missing girls were discovered during the early hours of today.

Authorities are expected to conduct further investigations into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
