Medical Student Jumps From College Dean’s Office to End Life in Maharashtra

Mumbai: A second-year MBBS student of a private medical college in Maharashtra’s Wardha district committed suicide by jumping from the fourth-floor office of the college dean over some issues with attendance.

The student in her early 20s hailing from Nagpur was studying in the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Wardha. She ended her life on Thursday afternoon.

Preliminary police investigation states that the budding medico had issues with her attendance and was not allowed to take some of her examinations.

She jumped from the fourth-floor office of the college dean. She died of severe head injuries. The police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating the incident.
