UP Post Office Official Ends Life After CBI Raid, Puts Blame on Colleagues

Lucknow: Post Office Superintendent TP Singh posted at Bulandshahr Main Post Office in Uttar Pradesh allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday following a CBI raid in the post office regarding a corruption investigation.

The postal official died by suicide at his home in Aligarh.

He was earlier interrogated by the CBI for hours. After the interrogation, he reached his home in Aligarh where he allegedly took the drastic step.

He posted a letter in WhatsApp groups before ending his life.

Singh took charge of the Bulandshahr Main Post Office in 2021.

In the post, he named multiple office colleagues for allegedly harassing and putting undue pressure on him.

The CBI raided the main post office on Tuesday evening. Various documents were seized by the CBI. Singh was interrogated till 4 in the morning.

The letter had been posted on WhatsApp, allegedly by Singh himself. The letter has since gone viral.
