Pakistan: 11 Cops killed, 7 injured as Dacoits Ambush Police Vehicles

At least 11 policemen died and seven others were injured when armed dacoits ambushed police vehicles in Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province.

The attack occurred in the Machka area of Rahim Yar Khan district of the province on Thursday. The dacoits fired rockets at two police vans with more than 20 policemen.

Eleven policemen were killed on the spot while seven others were injured.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack on a police convoy and ordered immediate and effective action against the attackers.
