Landlord Booked as 13-Yr-Old Boy Killed by Iron Rod That Fell from Under-Const House

Noida: A 13-year-old boy was killed when an iron rod from an under-construction house fell on his head in Noida of Uttar Pradesh.

Police have registered an FIR against the landlord, Gaurav Sharma and his uncle Devdutta Sharma, under relevant sections, following a complaint lodged by the boy’s father Rajesh Rai from Bihar’s Buxar.

This incident occurred on August 23 afternoon when the victim Rohit was passing by the under-construction house near the Balwant Chowk. An iron from the under-construction building fell on his head.

The injured boy was rushed to Noida District Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His father, in the police complaint has alleged that the accident occurred due to careless construction work without safety measures.

Police have registered an FIR under sections 106 (1) (death due to negligence) and 290 (negligence during construction or repair of a building) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
