Israel to Recruit 10000 Construction Workers, 5000 Caregivers from India

Israel is once again planning to recruit 10,000 construction workers and 5,000 caregivers from India to meet workforce shortages in its infrastructure and healthcare sectors while its war against Hamas continues.

Earlier this year, Israel had made a similar request to India for workforce recruitment.

The team of the Population, Immigration, and Border Authority (PIBA) of Israel will visit India to select construction workers for framework, iron bending, plastering, and ceramic tiling.

The PIBA will conduct the recruitment drive for construction workers in Maharashtra.

Israel also needs 5,000 caregivers for its healthcare services. Candidates for this role should have studied till the Class 10 and possess a certificate from a recognised Indian institute. Additionally, a caregiving course with at least 990 hours of on-the-job training is necessary for the eligibility.

In an earlier recruitment process this year, 10,349 were selected to work in Israel’s construction sector. These selected persons get a monthly salary of Rs 1.92 lakh, with added benefits like medical insurance, food, and accommodation with a monthly bonus of Rs 16,515.

This recruitment drive solves Israel’s immediate workforce needs and also enhances India’s global footprint in skilled labour markets.
