Armed Intruders Attack, Injure Sleeping Couple in Berhampur

Berhampur: Some unidentified miscreants attacked and injured a couple while they were sleeping in their house at Gouda Sahi under Bada Bazar police station limits in Berhampur on Tuesday night.

The victims were seriously injured. They were identified as Satish Kumar Subuddhi, a goldsmith by profession and his wife.

According to sources, the armed assailants climbed onto their roof and cut the iron grill to enter their home, while they were asleep.

The couple was attacked with sharp weapons. The injured couple confronted the attackers following which the intruders preferred to escape from the scene.

The injured couple was admitted to the MKCG Medical College & Hospital in Berhampur. A case has been registered at Bada Bazar Police Station and investigation continues to nab the culprits.
