Dozen Leaders of Imran Khan’s Party Arrested in Pakistan

Pakistani police arrested several lawmakers and leaders of ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party in midnight raids on Monday.

Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said around a dozen of its parliamentarians had been taken into custody in Islamabad. As per the party, several lawmakers of the party took refuge in parliament. On Tuesday, its lawmakers protested against the arrests in the National Assembly.

These arrests were made a day after Imran Khan’s PTI organized a major rally in Islamabad demanding his release.
