2 Jana Seva Kendras Sealed, 2 Arrested in Bhubaneswar for Demanding Bribe to Fill Subhadra Yojana Forms

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) sealed up two Jana Seva Kendras for allegedly demanding money from women for the filling of applications for Odisha government’s Subhadra Yojana. Two persons involved in the racket were arrested.

The BMC authorities have lodged an FIR against the accused. Acting on complaints of demand of money for filling application forms, registration, and assistance with the enrolling process, the BMC took up an investigation into the allegations of bribery.

This led to the sealing of the two Jan Seva Kendras operating at Niladri Vihar and Satya Nagar of the capital city.

The Odisha government has issued a stern warning against those demanding bribes for Subhadra Yojana. The government has urged citizens to report such incidents to the police.
