5 Conditions Set by Supreme Court While Granting Bail to Kejriwal

New Delhi:  The Supreme Court granted bail to Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in the case lodged by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the excise policy ‘scam’ on Friday but with a set of conditions.

The apex court has barred him from entering the CM’s office and signing files during the bail period.

Some of the bail conditions for Arvind Kejriwal include:

*Release subject to a bail bond of ₹10 lakh.

*He cannot make comments about the Delhi excise policy case.

*The Delhi chief minister will have to be present for trial unless exempted by courts.

*He cannot enter the chief minister’s office or the Delhi secretariat while out on bail.

*The Delhi CM cannot sign official files unless absolutely necessary to obtain the Lieutenant Governor’s sanction.
