Water Leakage at Taj Mahal’s Iconic Dome After Heavy Rains in Agra

Agra: The Taj Mahal’s iconic dome is facing an unexpected challenge—water leakage.

Water leakage occurred in the main dome of the Taj Mahal in Agra due to incessant rain for the past three days.

A senior official of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Agra circle, said the water seepage has not cause damage. The ASI officials checked the main dome through a drone camera.

A video showing one of the gardens of Taj Mahal submerged with rain water went viral on social media.

The continuous rains have wreaked havoc across Agra. Several parts of the city suffer waterlogging.
