38-Yr-Old Man Dupes 50 Women on Pretext of Marriage; Arrested in Delhi

New Delhi: A 38-year-old man, identified as Mukeem Ayyub (38), was arrested from the Nizamuddin railway station in Delhi. He has allegedly conned over 50 women on the pretext of marriage by posing as a senior government official.

Ayyub hails from Gujarat’s Vadodra. He has duped women of several states through matrimonial websites.

When a tip-off was received that Khan was coming to Delhi from Vadodra, police laid a trap and arrested him from the Nizamuddin railway station.

During interrogation, he revealed that he has conned several women including high-profile women on the pretext of marriage. He has multiple fake profiles with attractive description on different matrimonial websites.

He was targeting high-profile unmarried, widow and divorcee women for marriage, police sources said.

He used to meet their families to talk about marriage and cheat them by extracting money in the name of booking of resort, marriage hall or hotel. He used to take expensive articles like cash, mobile phones and jewellery from the targeted women in the name of marriage.

The accused really married in 2014 and has three children.

His victims even include a judicial officer.
