Fraudster Arrested for Duping Job Aspirants Of Over Rs 2 Crore In Balasore Dist

Balasore: A fraudster involved in cheating several youths of more than Rs 2 Crore through false promises of providing employment in banks and other organizations was arrested in the Balasore district.

The accused was identified as Ramesh Chandra Padhi from Manitri village of under the Soro police station limits.

According to police sources, arrested Padhi had had collected Rs 3 Lakh each from at least 22 youths in 2019, on the pretext of getting them appointed in different banks. Later on these youths came to know that banks had not advertized for the posts for the posts for which the conman had taken money from them. These conned youths approached the court of law when they realized that they had been cheated by the accused.  man.

At least nine cheating cases are pending against Ramesh in different police stations of the Balasore district. One case is also lodged against him in Keonjhar district.
