Teacher Arrested For Alleged Sexual Misconduct with Student in NEET Coaching Centre in Kanpur

Kanpur: A biology teacher at a NEET coaching institute in Kanpur was arrested after CCTV footage allegedly showing him engaging in inappropriate behaviour with a student surfaced.

The teacher, identified as Sahil Siddiqui, was seen in the video leading a female student to a bathroom.

The video, which has since gone viral, shows a man, reportedly Siddiqui, wearing a white shirt, talking to and kissing the student.

Earlier complaints from female students about Siddiqui’s behaviour had been ignored due to insufficient evidence. However, Ashish Srivastava, the director of the coaching institute, acted after receiving a pen drive containing the footage.

Srivastava filed a complaint at the Kakadev Police Station, leading to Siddiqui’s arrest. A molestation case has been registered against him.

The director mentioned that two days before filing the complaint, he found an envelope containing the pen drive outside the coaching centre.

According to Mahesh Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), further investigation is underway, and legal proceedings are being pursued.
