Without Paying for Delivered iPhone, Lucknow Man Kills Delivery Agent

Lucknow: Two persons allegedly murdered a 30-year-old delivery man who went to deliver an iPhone to one of them in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. The man was supposed to pay the delivery agent Rs 1.5 lakh for the iPhone.

The duo threw the body of the murdered delivery man into the Indira Canal near Lucknow.

According to police sources, a person named Gajanan of Chinhat area of Lucknow had ordered the iPhone worth about Rs 1.5 lakh from Flipkart opting for Cash on Delivery payment.

On September 23, a delivery boy identified as Bharat Sahu of went to deliver the phone to Gajanan. But Gajanan and his friend strangled Sahu to death and they packed the body in a sack to dispose it off in the Indira Canal.

When Sahu went missing for two days, his family registered a complaint on September 25 at the Chinhat police station.

Sahu’s call details led to identification of Gajanan and his friend Akash. During interrogation, Akash confessed to the crime.

The UP State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team is searching for the body of the victim in the canal.
