Cargo Ship Damaged at Paradip Port as Loading Crane’s Boom Falls, Crane Operator Injured

Paradip: A crane operator of a cargo ship named MV AMNSI MAXIMUS was seriously injured and the ship also suffered damage when a load crane broke at the Pradip Port on Tuesday.

According to reports, the accident happened at the MPB berth of Paradip Port while limestone was being unloaded from the cargo ship.

A snapped load crane belonged to Bothra Shipping Corporation. The boom of the crane broke into half and fell on the ship. The crane operator also fell off the crane and was injured. The crane’s lifting cylinder has also suffered some damage in the incident.
