1 Dead, 2 Critical in Violent Group Clash in Balangir

Balangir: One person lost his life and two others were seriously injured in a violent group clash at Malgodam pada area of Balangir.

The deceased has been identified as Neeraj Haripal. He was released from jail on bail a few days back. The seriously injured duo was transported to the VSS Medical College and Hospital in Burla for treatment.

According to sources, this violent group clash occurred on Monday night over past enmity between two rival groups. Both groups used sharp weapons to attack each other. The injured persons were initially admitted to the Bhimbhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir. One of them succumbed to his injuries and the rest two were shifted to Burla as their condition worsened.

The police are at the spot for an investigation. Detailed reports are awaited.
