15 Injured as Truck Hits Bus in Sundargarh Dist

Sundargarh: At least 15 persons were injured when a passenger bus was hit by a truck near Khaman under Tikayatpalli police station limits in Sundargarh district in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Around 30 passengers were there on the bus when the accident occurred. This bus named Anupama was traveling to Rourkela from Bhubaneswar.

The injured passengers were admitted to Bonai Hospital for treatment. Later 10 seriously injured passengers were shifted to Rourkela hospital. According to eyewitnesses, this accident occurred at around 3 am.

It is alleged that the truck came from its lane to the lane on which the bus was on and collided with it. It is suspected that the truck driver dozed off causing the accident.
