18 Puri Bound Pilgrims Injured As Truck Hits Bus in Khordha Dist

Bhubaneswar: At least 18 pilgrims on their way to Puri were injured as a truck hit their bus at Gadakhordha Square in Odisha’s Khordha district on Friday morning. The passenger bus was transporting the devotees to Puri for a Parikrama project visit.

As per reports, the bus had 42 persons from Rayagada district.

A speeding truck rammed the pilgrims’ bus from the rear, injuring 18 of them.

The back portion of the bus and the front portion of the truck were damaged in the collision.

The victims were rescued by the local police and rushed to the Khordha District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
