19 Arrested, Over 8500 Ltr Illicit Brew Seized During Anti-Liquor Raid in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Excise department seized a huge cache of illicit country liquor and arrested 19 persons during raids in Bhubaneswar.

Raids were conducted by Bhubaneswar and Cuttack flying squads at the Salia Sahi slum in Bhubaneswar. Around 1000 litre of illicit country liquor and 8,500 litre of fermented brew were seized. Nineteen persons involved in the manufacture and trading of this illicit liquor were arrested.

The raid was conducted at the direction of the Khordha Collector and Excise Superintendent.
