A project to deliver necessary medicines to people living in extremely remote areas was launched in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Friday.
To mark the start of the project, medicines were delivered at Kalyansinghpur and Gudari Hospitals through drones. In the future medicines will be delivered through drones to other remote medical centres in the district.
This experimental project to deliver medicines has been initiated in Kandhamal and Rayagada districts of Odisha with the support of USAID and Redwing.
Redwing’s electric hybrid drones are being used to transport medicine and medical equipment in this project.
Drones are being used to transport essential medicines to remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.
