2 Killed, 1 Injured as Speeding Car Runs Over Them in Ganjam Dist

Berhampur: Two persons died and another was seriously injured in a hit-and-run case on Wednesday morning at Pudamari in Ganjam district of Odisha.

The accident victims were waiting for a bus at the Pudamari bus stand under Patapur police station limits when a speeding car rammed into them. After causing the accident, the driver of the car sped away from the spot.

The seriously injured trio was rushed to the local hospital where two were declared brought dead. The other seriously injured person was shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

It is alleged that the driver of the car lost control of the steering wheel and caused this hit-and-run case.

Following the mishap, the accused driver sped away along with the car. Police have started a search operation to nab the driver and seize the accident-causing car.
