2 Labourers Run Over by Train Engine on Trial Run In Rayagada

Rayagada: Two persons died when a train engine on a test run ran over them between Rayagada and Singhpur Road railway stations in south Odisha late on Wednesday night.

The two deceased were labourers engaged in the under-construction railway track. They were identified as Amisirao Pulaka and Shivana Kadraka of Debadalguda village under Chandili police station limits in Rayagada district.

According to reports, they were run over by the train engine passing on the third railway track near Pole No 335 at Devdalguda.

The ill-fated workers were sitting on the railway track when the speed-maker trial engine hit them. Both were killed on the spot. Other workers demanded adequate compensation to the next of kin of the deceased persons.
