Hemant Soren’s Sister is JMM Candidate from Mayurbhanj LS Seat

Bhubaneswar: Anjani Soren, the sister of former Jharkhand CM will contest from the Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha seat in Odisha as the candidate of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).

Anjani is the daughter of JMM founder Shibu Soren. The party has officially declared her as its candidate from Mayurbhanj. Anjani is the president of Odisha unit of the JMM.

She had also contested from Mayurbhanj in the 2019 general elections and finished third getting 11.78% vote share. BJP’s Bishweswar Tudu won the seat with 42.1% votes, while BJD’s Debashis Marndi finished second.

This time Anjani will fight against BJP’s Naba Charan Majhi and BJD’s Sudam Marndi, who was once the president of the JMM in Odisha. Congress has not announced its candidate for the Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha seat. It is expected that it may support the JMM in this constituency.
