Onion Loaded Truck Burnt to Ashes at Bangiriposhi Ghat in Mayurbhanj Dist

Baripada: An onion-loaded truck travelling from Nasik in Maharashtra to Kolkata was gutted as it caught fire at Bangiriposhi Ghat road on NH49 in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Monday morning.

But the driver and helper of the truck managed to escape from the burning truck.

Firefighters from Bangiriposhi and Bishoi reached the accident spot to put down the fire.

Traffic on NH49 was stranded on this stretch of the ghat road because of the accident.

The exact reason behind this fire is yet to be ascertained. Local police personnel suspect that it was caused by an electrical short circuit.
