Youth Electrocuted & Burnt Alive Atop 11 KV Electric Pole in Mayurbhanj Dist

Baripada: A 27-year-old man was electrocuted and burnt alive atop an 11 KV electric pole at Singada village under Raruan police station limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Saturday.

According to reports, the deceased identified as Narahari Mahanta (27) of the Singada village, climbed the high-voltage electric pole and touched the high-tension wire. He was immediately charred to death. Locals say, his head and torso got separated in the fire caused by the high-voltage electrocution.

Police have started an investigation into the matter. The reason for which the youth took the drastic decision is yet to be ascertained.
