Sambalpur MP Nitesh Ganga Deb Quits BJP, Cites Health Reasons

Bhubaneswar: Sambalpur MP Nitesh Ganga Deb has resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) citing health reasons.

Deb, a member of the Bamra royal family, announced his resignation from the BJP on social media, expressing the need to take a hiatus from active politics due to his health condition. He has tendered his resignation from the primary membership of the BJP.

In light of his departure, Deb has called upon the constituents of the Deogarh Assembly segment to extend their support to his wife, Arundhati Kumari Devi, who is contesting from the same area as a candidate of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

Meanwhile, the BJP has nominated Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as its candidate for the Sambalpur Lok Sabha constituency.
