Rajnath Singh Fires Up BJP’s Odisha Campaign, Slams BJD Over Governance

Bhubaneswar: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh intensified the BJP’s campaign in Odisha on Wednesday, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Nabarangpur.

While addressing a public gathering in Bhawanipatna under the Kalahandi Parliamentary segment, Singh launched a blistering attack on the ruling BJD and Congress, citing decades of ‘misgovernance’.

Singh highlighted the significant developmental strides achieved during PM Modi’s tenure, asserting the potential for rapid progress in Kalahandi if BJP is voted to power in Odisha. He noted the historical neglect faced by the region, stressing the failure of previous governments to alleviate poverty, despite their claims.

Singh underscored BJP’s commitment to eradicating poverty and ensuring comprehensive social welfare, promising a future where every family has access to essential amenities like housing, water, and cooking gas.

Furthermore, Singh pledged to introduce the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Odisha, emphasizing BJP’s track record of fulfilling commitments, such as the abrogation of Article 370 and the construction of the Ram Temple. He condemned the opposition’s skepticism, particularly regarding the Ram Mandir issue, reaffirming BJP’s dedication to justice for all, irrespective of religion.

Regarding women’s rights, Singh highlighted BJP’s stance against Triple Talaq, reaffirming the party’s support for gender equality across all communities. He criticized BJD and Congress for their failure to deliver on promises, contrasting BJP’s proactive governance approach.

Wrapping up his visit, Singh addressed a public meeting in Rayagada, expressing optimism about BJP’s electoral prospects in Odisha. He reiterated the party’s commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of Odisha’s citizens, promising to implement welfare schemes currently denied under BJD’s rule.
