+2 Girl Student Ends Life by Self-Immolation in Ganjam Dist

Berhampur: A higher secondary student committed suicide opting for self-immolation after pouring petrol on her body inside her house in Betni village under Kotinada police station limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Anita Goud was a student of +2 classes at the Balipadar College.

According to reports, while she was alone at home, Anita poured petrol on her body to commit the drastic act.

Personnel of the Kotinada police station rushed to the spot, seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.

Police have started an investigation to ascertain why the young girl took this extreme step to end her life by self-immolation.
