20 Hospitalized Because of Toxic Chemical Colours They Used During Holi

Bhubaneswar: Proving that chemical Holi colours are dangerous for our health, at least 20 persons were hospitalized because of severe skin infection in Kantabanji of Balangir district.

According to reports, more than 20 youths of Ashok Nagar, Anand Nagar and other places of Kantbanjji suffered severe pain and rashes on their body because of the colour they played with during Holi celebrations on March 26.

All affected youths were admitted to the Kantabanji Hospital. Later, all of them were shifted to the Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital as their condition deteriorated.

It is suspected that these youths suffered severe skin infections because of the harmful chemicals present in the colours they used during Holi.
