21 Injured as Bus Overturns After Crashing Into Divider Near Choudwar

Cuttack: Around 21 passengers were injured when a private bus in which they were travelling hit a divider near Choudwar in Odisha’s Cuttack district and overturned in the wee hours on Thursday.

The accident occurred at around 3 am. Low visibility due to dense fog is said to be the reason behind the mishap.

The ill-fated bus named Shree Laxmi was travelling to Cuttack from Dhenkanal. Near Nuapatna under the Choudwar police station limits, the driver of the bus lost control of the steering wheel and hit the divider. The bus turned turtle injuring the passengers who were on board.

Choudwar police and fire services team rushed to spot to take up the rescue operation.

The injured passengers were admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
