Minor Rejig In Odisha IPS Cadre; Senior Woman IPS Takes VRS

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government made a minor reshuffle in state cadre IPS officers.

As per the notification issued by the state Home Department on Wednesday, 1998-batch IPS officer Dayal Gangwar at present posted as ADGP, Railways & Coastal Security has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Modernisation.

Rajesh Kumar at present posted as ADGP, Modernisation has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Railways & Coastal Security with Additional charge of Director, SFSL

Similarly, 2007-batch IPS officer Awinash Kumar at present serving as D.I.G of Police, SAP has been transferred and posted as Additional C.P, Commissionerate of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.

In addition to this, 2009-batch IPS officer Brijesh Kumar Ray at present posted as Additional C.P., Commissionerate of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack has been transferred and posted as D.I.G of Police, Intelligence in-charge, Security Wing.

In another development, the Odisha government approved the voluntary retirement of senior IPS Officer B Radhika, whose name had been doing the rounds as a contender for the post of director general of police (DGP).

The government also relaxed the “mandatory notice period of three months for her voluntary retirement from government service to take care of her parents.
