22 Relatives of Al Jazeera Reporter Killed in Israeli Bombing on Gaza

Twenty-two relatives of Moamen Al-Sharafi, the Gaza correspondent of the Qatar-based Al Jazeera Media Network were killed in a said Israeli bombing on Wednesday. Al Jazeera condemned the Israeli operation.

“The horrific event unfolded today at Jabalia Camp, where Moamen’s family sought refuge, leading to the killing of his father, mother, three siblings and his children,” the Al Jazeera network said.

The journalist was saved as he was elsewhere during the bombardment. He appeared live on the news network after the incident. The victims of Israeli bombing included five of his family and 17 other members of his extended family.

The network said it “will pursue all legal steps to holding accountable all those responsible for this crime”.
